The D.C.E. of Biakoye District Assembly, Hon. Millicent Kabuki Carboo is elated to have received an Honorary Award in recognition of her zeal in promoting tourism in Biakoye District. This honour was conferred on her on September 20th, 2024, at Joliz Hotel, Okagyakrom, during the maiden celebration of the Oti Regional Tourism Awards 2024.
Organized under the auspices of the Ghana Tourism Authority, the Oti Regional Tourism Awards aimed to celebrate and recognize the contributions of tourism stakeholders in the Oti Region. She was humbled that her efforts as District Chief Executive of Biakoye District have been acknowledged.
Congratulations to all awardees for their contributions to the tourism industry. Hon. Millicent Kabuki Carboo envision a future where the shores of River Oti boast holiday destinations and resorts rivaling those in Dubai, Miami, White Sand Beaches, etc.
As a stand-in for the Special Guest of Honour, she used the occasion and highlighted Biakoye’s potential tourist attraction sites (which numbers up to 15) inviting investors to explore these opportunities. Biakoye’s untapped and potential tourist attraction sites include Islands, Waterfalls, Parks, Beaches, Mountain Climbing, a Dinosaur Grave, a Volcanic Spot, Canopy Walkways, Paragliding etc.
